Fruiting Seeds: Ladysfinger (Okra)

Also known as okra, this plant is grown for its long finger-like mucilaginous seed pods, hence the name! 

With its unique soft and light texture, okra is a tasty addition to stirfries, soups and curries. Also worth trying grilled.

Pick pods within a week of flowers opening, once 5-8cm. If left for too long, it will harden.
